Universal listened to its customers when a concern about safety and ease of maintenance was expressed. Oxidation catalysts require frequent servicing. However, current catalyst system designs require maintenance technicians to climb ladders or use unstable lifts to reach the catalyst service points. A potentially dangerous situation. The GreenShield® Vertical Catalyst System has the catalyst access panels positioned at a safe and convenient location. But we didn’t stop there. Universal also integrated a silencer into the housing design. One unit, two purposes. Universal uses its expertise in managing complex exhaust flow paths to ensure minimal back pressure and optimal system performance. The design is easier to install, to maintain and safer to service. Plus it has the added advantage of being less expensive because it doesn’t need expensive ladders and platforms.
